LP Assist was founded to enable businesses to work smarter through modern software and provide high quality bookkeeping services in Canterbury.

With two offices in Canterbury, we understand rural life and business. We work with clients nationwide in almost every sector, in hospitality, construction, retail and more. At the forefront of modern technology, LP Assist is a leader in modern bookkeeping and software advisory and training in New Zealand.

As a division of Leech & Partners, we know accounting and bookkeeping. We work alongside accountants and understand what they need to help you run your business successfully. We utilise technology to its greatest extent to provide accurate, reliable, timely bookkeeping at a fair price. (Please note that you do not need to be a client of Leech & Partners to work with us.)

Georgia Goodman
Division Manager

LP Assist is led by Georgia Goodman, whose dream is to support and educate business owners to give them more time to spend on the things that matter most to them. “By improving processes, creating efficiencies through software, or managing their bookkeeping, I can give people time to focus on growing their business or spending time with their family.”

Georgia is an expert in bookkeeping and software advising. Having completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Canterbury, Georgia moved to London where she worked as a bookkeeper and software advisor for clients in a range of industries, including import and export, renewable energy, and technology start-ups.

Returning from London, Georgia knew she wanted to use these skills to help New Zealand businesses. “People are commonly using software that does not suit their needs or using their software in inefficient ways,” Georgia said. “I hear business owners complain about bookkeeping tasks or the software they’re using, and this is where I wanted to help. LP Assist was created to either take these tasks off their hands or to introduce the correct software or processes to make these tasks simpler.”

Georgia loves working with people and technology, making LP Assist perfect for her. She enjoys teaching, especially when she gets an opportunity to find new ways to teach. “To tell someone how to do something is simple, but to teach them something in a way that is going to stay with them can be challenging and really rewarding,” she said.

Outside of work, Georgia likes spending time on her farm. She loves living in Canterbury because of the beautiful views, supportive community, and friendly people.

Tineka Johnston
Bookkeeper

Tineka’s vast experience in financial, event coordination and training roles makes her the perfect fit for the LP Assist team.
Known for her detail-oriented approach and dedication, Tineka enjoys streamlining our clients’ bookkeeping and creating efficiencies in their businesses. Her primary role as a bookkeeper sees her helping clients with their day-to-day bookkeeping, GST returns and reporting. She also assists with software-related queries and training, which she finds rewarding because she gets to empower clients to use their accounting software effectively and use the resulting data to make smart financial decisions.

Tineka holds a Bachelor of Business (majoring in Accounting) along with a Diploma in Xero and a Diploma in Management. Beyond bookkeeping and the office environment, Tineka enjoys playing touch rugby and netball. She also likes to get outside for some hill walking and gardening.
